When my kids were adolescents, we enjoyed watching a Public Television show hosted by an artist from Muncie, Indiana. It was an instructional show on painting landscapes. At some point in every show, the artist included what he called "happy little clouds" in the sky. The artist has long since left us, but I thought about him today as I saw only a few wispy little clouds in a bright blue sky.
Yessiree! We had blue skies today - bright sunshine - and hardly any cloud action. The temp topped out in the upper 50's with a little nippy breeze, but it was still a great day to walk outside.
It was a pretty routine day, not much out of the ordinary. So, as I sit here with my "thinking face" on, trying to decide what I should pontificate on today, hubby suggests that I rename the blog after him and spend my time telling everyone what a wonderful guy he is. That might not be a bad idea - he IS a great guy, and I'm reminded every day how lucky I am to have him in my life. Seriously, I would guess I'm in the minority because I absolutely cannot complain about the toilet seat being left up - ever. He vacuums, takes out the trash, helps with dishes and folding laundry - and sprays the henbit. And this afternoon, he was sweet enough that he gave up watching a movie on his computer because it was interfering with the movie I had already started on my computer....just too much for our wireless connection and my movie got "jerky" on the screen. To elevate him another notch, I should mention he was watching "Django Unchained", while I was watching "Harry Potter & The Deathly Hallows Part 2". Hmmmm. I have a feeling not that many other spouses would have been so kind.
He loves me in spite of all my quirks and shortcomings and tells me every day how much he loves me. I wouldn't trade that for all the "happy little clouds" in the sky!!
