We mowed the yard for the second time this afternoon. However, it was a much more "normal" mowing than last week, with no long johns or sweatshirts involved! But consider the wild weather the Midwest has been having - a friend who lives about an hour and a half SOUTH of us emailed that she slipped and fell yesterday morning on the ice and snow. This has been quite possibly the strangest spring weather I remember in my life.
We had a nice day, though I'm not sure how you make an interesting posting when the highlight of your day was plucking your eyebrows. :) We're watching the preview show of the NFL draft right now - a lot of big guys in nice suits being individually introduced right now.....we just turned it on, I think these intros are for the 25 top prospects. All kinds of speculation still on what the Chiefs will do with the #1 pick. No matter what they do, this coming season should be better than the last one!
One thing we've noticed with not working, it gets really hard to remember what day it is. We've tried to develop a weekday routine, but there's not the massive 8-hour-a-day schedule you have at work to keep your mind on track with the days. It didn't help that hubby looked out the front window this morning and commented that I forgot to pick up the newspaper last night. Our local paper publishes two times a week - the papers arrive on Tuesday evening and Thursday evening. It took me a while to process the entire train of thought before I told him that I was pretty sure we weren't supposed to get a paper last night. We still have no idea why it arrived, but my morning phone call from Mom confirmed that yes, it did come last night. I really don't need the local publisher messing up my mind any more than it already is!!!
A nice day and hopefully a good night's sleep to come!
