LG

Or, as the commercial say, "life's good".   I'm 60, I'm unemployed, there are no - and I mean NOOOO - jobs to be had. I should be steeped in anxiety. But I'm not. This has been such a good two months  home with hubby.

We started our married life with him working in Northern Iowa while I maintained our home in North Central Missouri......for five and a quarter years!!  It sounds so long, but it really went by quickly in the big picture. Somehow, I think this "us" time is cosmic payback for those early years.

We have fun just hanging out together, doing things around the house, now with the warmer weather doing yard work. He finished spraying the yard demolition area this morning. I started an experiment this afternoon - container gardening. I don't know if it will work or not, but it was fun getting my hands in the potting soil this afternoon - we have seeds planted for beets, peas, spinach, and zucchini. As it gets warmer, we will get a nice tomato plant and two sweet peppers.

We topped off a luciously warm day taking the family across the street out for pizza - a thank-you for hauling off our brush from the yard project. Everyone should have neighbors like them.

Hubby's snoozing on the sofa, I'm enjoying a glass of wine, National Geographic is on the TV. Tomorow's another day and promises to be another warm one - I feel so alive with the warmer, sunnier days. Yep - Life's Good!
