Sad Monday

This is the type of day that makes all of us shake our collective heads and wonder what our world is coming to. Our thoughts and prayers go out to all those at the Boston Marathon tragedy.

The weather seemed to mirror the tone of the day - cloudy, chilly, generally dreary. And yet, we got our lawnmower back from being serviced! Hopefully we'll have a decent day while we can still find our way through the forest that is our yard to start that mower!! Hubby has said he's worried about my getting lost while mowing - maybe he'll attached a bicycle flag to me so he knows where I am. :)

The weekend was nice. I finally gave in to my need to see the grandkids yesterday. We had a nice visit with the two in Grain Valley - but sadly, we missed the two in Blue Springs (basketball game in Shawnee Mission). I feel bad that we missed those two, but we'll catch up with them another day when they can have our full attention. As it was, we came home totally worn out from the full-of-energy 4-year-old granddaughter! She never slows down....also never runs out of anything to say. Her 14-year-old brother is so calm and laid back comparatively! There's never a dull moment there........I reminded her mama that a "few years ago" when SHE was the same age, I also had a 3-year-old and a baby. I think it made her tired just to think about it!!

At any rate, it's another wonderful week - hope you all enjoy it as much as I plan to.
