..........Today! Yay! Oh, yes - blue skies and all. So it was still pretty chilly and windy. But it was sunny!
Speaking of it being chilly, I'm trying to remember if ever before I've had to bundle up in layers (including long johns!) to mow the yard........I don't think so, but we sure did today. The grass was so tall we raised the mower deck before starting. It looks good, it felt good to get it done, we'll have to do it again sooner than normal with the mower deck back at a normal height. To my surprise, I didn't have to shed any layers of clothing during the mowing - I figured I would get heated up, but that didn't happen.
It was a good, productive day. I've said it before, but the sunshine energizes me (and, I guess logically, the clouds make me want to hibernate!). I feel good about what I've accomplished today, which in my book makes this day a success. I even managed to switch my number to a new cellphone without wailing and gnashing of teeth!
Yes, ma'am, it was a successful day!
